Fabulous Friday!

I promised pics of my trip last weekend. So, here you go! Today, I'm holding the fort down while I wait for FedX to arrive with my youngest son's Christmas gift. :) If you're looking for something to read, High Heat is now available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Ash Cave, Hocking Hills

Me in the cave.

I love the contrast of me in the dark and the sun in the cave. :)

Me and the guys at the Nature Center yesterday. It was so pretty out. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family.

Thanks Jen! The hike with the boys was really long. We hiked down to a stream and back up this really big hill. You don't have to guess who we were carrying by the end! :D

Love the pics, Tatum! Guess where I was today. Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkles Hollow, Rock House, and Cantwell Cliffs :) Yesterday, we hiked Old Man's Cave before and after Thanksgiving dinner!

I love it! My fav is Old Man's Cave. The rock formations there are just beautiful! Love, love that area! We were saying we'll have to take the boys back in the summer. :)

We usually go in late March or early November to avoid the crowds. March can be really pretty with lots of frozen waterfalls. Gotta have Yak Trax!

The last time we went was in Feb. Ash Cave was awesome with the water falling from the top of the cave. It had created this huge ice mound that was about ten feet high. I have really lovely pictures :) Did you guys stay in a cabin?

Yeah, we stay in the state park cabins by Old Man's Cave. We have lots of gorgeous pictures too :)

Nice! Love great pics! We stayed at the park pre-kids ages ago. :o) Red River Gorge in KY is nice too. They have a lodge which we've stayed in and some great hiking. The last time we were down there I was six mos. pregnant with my second. AJ was laughing 'cause I got passed on the hike by another pregnant woman! LOL...

I think my husband has run geology field trips to Red River Gorge, but I haven't been there. Our two favorite hiking places are Hocking Hills and Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

I haven't been to Colorado yet. I'll have to put that one on my bucket list! :D
